Girl Waits With Gun by Amy Stewart

Girl Waits with Gun - Amy Stewart

I don't dislike this book, precisely, but after 127 pages I didn't care about the characters, wasn't invested in the story, and had no desire to pick the book back up when I put it down. Though I am hard-pressed to think of any first-person novel about a historical figure (Constance Kopp may not be famous, but she was real) that is really good. Something about attempting to assume the identity of a real person who lived long ago seems to lend itself to flat, unconvincing narratives.
